Dear readers,
As you will know from my previous post (and my longer than usual absence), I have moved to writing primarily on my Substack, now called A Poet’s Notebook. I have found a vibrant and supportive community there, so I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking the same. Who is actually looking to connect with others, have conversations and share passions, and not just click “like” on everything they see in hope of reciprocity… 😉
Since October, one of my Substack offerings has been Sarah’s Reading Corner. Currently the whole run (15 chapters) of the Sherlock Holmes classic The Hound of the Baskervilles is available as dramatic readings for paid subscribers, so if you need a last minute gift for someone who enjoys classic literature and being read to, this might be the perfect fit (gift subscriptions can be bought at sarahcominghome.substack.com/gift). I will be starting a new book in January (more info and possibly a poll to come).
Since it is Christmastime I also have a special offering for you today (though you can save the link and watch/listen whenever you have the time) which is a free dramatic reading of The Fir-Tree by H.C. Andersen. Enjoy! And I wish you all a calm and happy yuletide with loved ones around you.
If you want more of my reading, the first episode of The Hound of the Baskervilles is also available for free.
