January 24th: Legitimate interest (A poem every day)

on

Today’s poem is just a bit of light-hearted fun. Don’t tell me I’m the only one who gets increasingly annoyed by this phrasing….

Poem 24: Legitimate interest

You are
not my friend
family member
confidant

I am not a minor
under your protection
I do not require a guardian

So I, Sarah Thompson,
being of sound mind and body,
wilfully and voluntarily
make the following declaration:

Fuck off with your cookies
Punk-ass internet Sith lords

Also available in haiku form:

There is no such thing
as legitimate interest
between you and me

    1. Found it now. I just wasn’t logged in to WordPress, I guess. Yes, it’s funny, recognizable, can relate. Both the haiku and the loner one.
